Thanks to every single one of you who make our "Womenâs Journeys in Data" event a success â so much that we had to kick you out the door at 9:45!
Co-host Odessa Reyno, Director of the SoCal Chapter of Women in Big Data remarked: âIt was great to hear how honest and empowering each one of the panelists' stories were, which solidified the importance of surrounding yourself with a solid support system. Zillow is a Company Driving Change from the Social Impact Examiner!
For Zillow, home is where the impact is.
Snapshot
Zillow works with community partners to invest in and build products for social impact, such as the affordable housing search tool it built in partnership with Housing Connector to improve access to affordable housing.
Zillow supports nonprofits with multi-year, unrestricted funding and provides in-kind, skilled support and resources to help them meet and progress their goals. An example of an organization the company supports is Welcome.US, a nonprofit that helps Afghan refugee families resettle across the U.S.
The company has given more than $8 million to over 190 organizations that provide housing security, economic opportunity, and drive toward a more equitable industry.
Zillow hosts a biannual, week long hackathon that allows employees to co-create products, features and tools that deliver positive change to underrepresented groups and ensure the company is driving equity with its platform.
As a platform that generates property data on more than 135 million U.S. homes, Zillow leverages its team of 40 member Economic Research team to add context to public data and inform policy conversations about housing in the U.S.
